Terms and Conditions

By signing in or using ConvoBooks, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Community guidelines and our Child safety standards, which are part of this agreement. These Terms apply to every person who uses the Service.

ConvoBooks is a reading app. It offers a catalog of original short stories in Spanish and English that you can read by chapters, listen to with your device's own voice (text to speech), save to your list, mark as read, rate with stars and comment on.

All the stories in the catalog are created with artificial intelligence and reviewed by our team before they are published. They are works of fiction meant for entertainment, and they do not offer professional, medical, legal or financial advice.

There are no chats, groups or private messages: interaction between readers happens through public comments and star ratings on each book.

ConvoBooks is not directed to children under 13 years old. If you are under 13, please do not create an account or use the app.

We do not knowingly collect data from people under 13. If we detect an account belonging to a child under that age, we delete it together with its data.

A person whose account we have suspended or closed for breaking these Terms cannot use the app either.

You create your account by signing in with Google or with Apple. There is no sign-up with email and password, with a phone number or with other services. From your Google or Apple account we receive only your name, your email address and, when available, your profile photo, and the email is verified by that provider.

Because you sign in with Google or Apple, we never store a password: your access is handled by that provider, and you can manage it from your Google or Apple account.

You are responsible for what is done from your account and for keeping your data truthful. Tell us right away if you see something you do not recognize. The account is personal: do not lend it or pass it to another person.

You can change your preferred language and your notification settings from the app at any time.

The comments and star ratings you write on ConvoBooks are public to the whole community, together with your public profile (name and photo). There are no visibility levels and no private content, so do not write anything you would not want other people to see.

You keep ownership of the comments and ratings you publish.

By publishing them, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, free and transferable license solely to host, display, reproduce and distribute that content inside the Service in order to operate it. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for what we must keep under the Privacy Policy. You are solely responsible for what you publish and you declare that you have the right to do so.

We apply ZERO TOLERANCE to objectionable content and abusive behavior. The full rules are in our Community guidelines, which you agree to follow.

Among other things, it is forbidden to publish or promote:

• Any form of child sexual abuse or exploitation, including material that sexualizes minors, approaching minors for sexual purposes (grooming) and sextortion. We report it to the authorities as the law requires.
• Sexual, pornographic or nude content.
• Harassment, threats, intimidation or stalking of other people.
• Hate speech or discrimination.
• Violence, graphic content or incitement to harm, including self-harm.
• Spam, scams, unauthorized advertising or impersonation.
• Harmful false information or content that breaks the law or the rights of third parties.

Before publishing, an automatic filter checks the text of your comments and blocks forbidden words. You can report any comment, rating or profile from the “···” menu, and you can block other people so that they do not interact with you.

Our moderation team reviews every report within 24 hours at most. If the content breaks these rules, we remove it and, depending on the severity, suspend or close the responsible account. Cases of child abuse or exploitation are handled with top priority.

We reserve the right to moderate, hide or delete content and to suspend or close accounts that break these rules, with or without notice.

The app, its brand, design, logos, software and the catalog content (the stories, their covers, illustrations, audio and texts that we publish) are protected by intellectual property rights and belong to us or are used under license.

You may not copy, modify, distribute them or create derivative works without authorization.

We want to be fully honest about how the catalog is made: all the stories on ConvoBooks are generated with artificial intelligence. Before any story is published, our team reviews it to check its quality and to make sure it follows our rules.

The stories are works of fiction. Any resemblance to real people, places or events is coincidental, and the content does not represent facts or professional advice. If a story ever seems inappropriate or mistaken to you, please report it from the app or write to us and we will review it.

Part of the catalog is free to read. To unlock every book, remove ads and get new books each month, you can subscribe to ConvoBooks Pro, a monthly subscription.

The Pro subscription works under these conditions:

• It is optional: you can keep reading the free part of the catalog without paying.
• You will always see the price clearly before you subscribe.
• The payment is processed by Google Play Billing, under its own billing, renewal and refund terms. We never receive or store your card details.
• The subscription renews each month until you cancel it, and you can cancel it whenever you want from your Google Play account.
• We will not take away, without notice, free books that are already available to you.

The use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what data we store, what for, who it is shared with, how long we keep it and what rights you have.

You can delete your account whenever you want from the app: go to Profile, open the Menu, scroll to the bottom and tap “Delete account”. If you already uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, write to us at diosesamorporsiempre.cloud@gmail.com from your account email and we will delete it for you. When you delete it, we sign you out, anonymize your profile, release your email and erase your data as detailed in the Privacy Policy. Your comments and ratings stop being visible.

We only keep, for 12 months, the reports that other people made about your content, for moderation; backups renew themselves within 30 days at most.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms or the law, or if your conduct puts the community at risk. You can terminate this agreement by deleting your account.

The sections that by their nature must survive (intellectual property, liability, indemnity) keep applying after termination.

The app is offered “as is” and “as available”, with the greatest possible care. We do not guarantee that the Service will work without interruptions or errors, that it will be secure at all times, or that the content will be accurate or complete.

To the extent permitted by law, we give no implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, nor for losses caused by content published by other people, by the use or impossibility of using the Service, or by decisions you make based on the stories, which are works of fiction created with artificial intelligence.

You agree to hold us harmless against third party claims arising from your content, from your use of the app or from your breach of these Terms or of the law.

If you obtained the app on Apple's App Store or on Google Play, you also accept the conditions of that store. Support for the app is provided by us, not by Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its content.

In Apple's case, it is a third party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them. You declare that you are not in a country subject to embargo nor on lists of prohibited parties.

We may update these Terms. We will notify you of important changes inside the app or by other means. If you keep using the app after the effective date, you accept the version in force.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Nicaragua. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Nicaragua, unless the law provides otherwise. You always keep the rights that the law of your own country grants you, especially as a consumer.
